ScoutPlatform is an independent project by Milos Savic. Its applications help people discover useful and interesting places around the world through open geographic data, clear maps and responsible community contributions.
BeachScout now reads dog access straight from OpenStreetMap and shows it on the beach page, plus a whole-country map of every beach that records a dog rule. As far as we know, no other beach app does this.
Most beach apps cannot answer this. BeachScout can, wherever a local mapper has recorded it. Open Dog beaches in this country and you get every beach in that country that states a rule, on one map, colour-coded:
Tap any dot for the full beach page: conditions, accommodation nearby, parking and coordinates. A ban is shown just as clearly as permission — knowing where you cannot go saves a wasted journey.
Coverage depends entirely on what local mappers have recorded, and it is uneven. Germany, Croatia, Spain and the Netherlands are well mapped; many countries have almost nothing yet. A beach with no dog tag is not a beach that bans dogs — it is a beach nobody has recorded. BeachScout never guesses, and always tells you to check local signs.

Users may contribute local beach information, including up to five photos and a short description of up to 300 characters. Contributions are reviewed before publication.
Contributors remain the owners of their photographs and descriptions. BeachScout receives permission only to store, moderate and display those contributions as part of the service.
BeachScout and ScoutPlatform were created by Milos Savic. BeachScout began with a simple idea: to build a worldwide map useful to the naturist community, while also serving anyone looking for beaches and swimming places around the world.
The project is independent, community-oriented and built with the goal of remaining free or inexpensive to use.
